Holiday Vacation, Part 5 of 9

I think these pictures were taken at this restaurant that we found out in the boonies of Taos, New Mexico called the SteakOut. It was a very, very, good place to eat. I had gotten a beet salad before my meal and later on discovered that the salad alone was $14 bucks. Just a little too pricey for me but MAN it was delicious! Well, the kids of course didn't like anything that they served. So, that was a waste of money for them.
And of course, we were able to get one family snap shot before the food arrived at the table. Go me, you know it was me that was asking the poor ole waitress if she would be so kind to take our picture! LOL
I think Cassandra took this picture. She is a chip off the ole block, don't you think?
And this is a short clip of Cassandra skiing on the second (and last day) of our ski trip. Cory said that she did really well at getting on the lift (in other words, she wasn't scared or not wanting to go). She was willing! And then they went up a second time and both times, she enjoyed it. So, we thought this was promising for our future trips skiing!

Holiday Vacation, Part 4 of 9

I only took my cell phone up with me on the mountains, therefore this picture memory card doesn't have any pictures of skiing. So, you will have to believe me when I say that we skied a bunch of black diamond trails and that we didn't fall down at all. Haha......well, I think I only fell down one time but Cory came really close to hitting a tree once and then another time, he did a complete flip from head to toe. He was proud of himself but he was covered with snow. I'm more in control when I'm skiing where Cory just coast along and goes for it. He even skis backwards. Well, enough about how great a skier we are.....check out these pictures of our little sledding buddies. Cassandra really had fun and like it a lot.
Isn't her hat cute?
She wasn't scared at all....she went by herself a few times.
Now Jase on the other hand, wasn't too sure about this.
He didn't even like it when Momma road with him.
Or when all three of us went at one time.
Weeeeeeee........
Now these pictures are on the second day at the ski resort. Cassandra like going with her Daddy.
Even Jase had a better second day at sledding.
Of course Cassandra wasn't going to let them go without her climbing on board.
And here they go........

Holiday Vacation, Part 3 of 9

We had made reservations to keep the kids at the ski resorts daycare program. We had to pack them a sack lunch each day and they needed ski pants and gloves so that they could play outside.
Jase was in the baby class.
He liked the aquarium and watching the fish.
Cassandra on the other hand, didn't have too much fun the first day. They said, she did pretty good that morning but by the time 3 p.m. got around, she was tired and ready for a nap!

Holiday Vacation, Part 2 of 9

Now this was the highlight of the trip for us...SNOW! Cory said, we would drive until we found some snow (and we had reservations in Angel Fire New Mexico to go skiing on Dec. 29 and 30). Anyway....the snow was white and beautiful everywhere!
Cassandra wanted braids.

and to take Mommy and Daddy's picture.

And Jase wanted to throw snowballs at everyone. I wonder who taught him how to do that?

Does this look like the guy?

No.....that's not a face of innocence!

Cassandra liked the snow balls too. She would always pick up a huge chunk of snow and try to throw it at us.

No, we didn't make this snow man, it was already there before we got there!

But it did make for a good background prop for a family snap shot.

And then, it was time to go check into our hotel!

Holiday Vacation, Part 1 of 9

We have been everywhere this past week on a family HOLIDAY vacation. Cory was determined to spend the holidays on the road and thats exactly what we did. THANK YOU SANTA for the tv's for the Tahoe. They were perfect for our long road trip. We started off in Fredericksburg where we enjoyed a Christmas musical at the Rockstar Theatre.
Then we stopped in and enjoyed an ice cream.
Doesn't it look yummy?

We also enjoyed seeing all the Christmas decorations along the way and in Fredricksburg. This is my little Feona!
And my little shrek.
But what the kids enjoyed the most about our vacation was staying at hotels with indoor swimming pools.

Christmas at Missy's

We tried and tried to talk Poppy into joining us at Missy's house on Christmas Eve but again he refused to come along. So, we stopped by and at least got to spend a little time with him. He may not say it, but I know he really enjoys seeing the little ones. They say a picture is worth a thousand words...look at the smile on his face!
Jason is so photogenic but he also has been working out and has lost a lot of weight and looks really good. Way to go Jason, keep it up!
Here is Miss Rylee, she looked like a candy cane. I just wanted to lick her!
Teresa was the big winner of the left and right game! Congratulations!

Here are all the loosers in the $5 scratch offs. Cory couldnt' even figure out how to play his game.
Oh boy.......Missy knew exactly what to get Cassandra. MAKE-UP! She loved it!

Cassandra was so proud of her tall stack of presents.

I think Rylee passed out a lot more presents than what she got. She opened her presents earlier at Poppy's house and later on, too but she didn't seem to mind, she liked giving everyone their present. She was a sweetie!

Katie didn't have to help her too much open her presents, she knew exactly what to do with the wrapping paper this year!
Jase still had an ear infection and wasn't feeling too well. But he still had a lot of fun opening his presents! Both Cassandra and Jase got these laptops from their Aunt Teresa and they love them. (Mommy loves them too, because they are pretty easy to do)

Oh this girl and dresses. SHE LOVES DRESSES!

It was a nice evening with the family!

The Loot Santa left us

Wow......what a great Christmas. We started opening presents about 5 days early because there were so many presents under the tree this year. We would all take turns opening one present a night. And then when SANTA came during the night on Christmas Eve it was over whelming how much stuff he left for us.
Cassandra got exactly what she asked for, a hot dress and two tv's for the Tahoe and then Santa also gave her a doll house and lots and lots of stuff for her babies.
Jase and Cassandra also got a lot of DV's for their new tv's. Also, Jase got a Lightening McQueen Car and a work bench. He loves to say tools, arrrgh, arrrgh. (yep, his Daddy taught him that.)

Speaking of Dadda, he got a GPS for the Tahoe, new boots and a diving digital camera and a lot of other STUFF. He looks happy, huh?

Then Momma made out really well too. She got a Mother's Ring, a new weighing scale, warm pajama's and lots of other GOODIES as well.
We had a wonderful Christmas and we hope that everyone else did too! We feel so blessed and are enjoying watching Cassandra and Jase as they learn to give and receive gifts and learn about the greatest gift of all, our Lord Jesus!
