Safari Zoo Family Outing

Okay, this turned out to be a pretty cool place in Johnson City, TX. There might be a little false advertising going on because the giraffe died and we had to cook our own breakfast but other than that, I think I speak for everyone, WE HAD A BLAST.   Saturday was a little cold and windy but it made the fire pit and smores very enjoyable that night. But the best part of the trip was having all of us together. We really enjoyed getting together and we hope to do it again real soon. Check out these awesome pictures. The kids really had fun!
Even the big kids had fun, too.  Look at Cory's face.
Let's chalk this off as a bad picture of Konan because he had fun too!   Maybe he was thinking about how much he spent on our steaks?  (that were yummy)
Awe, Did Bambi loose it's spots?
The whole gang except we were missing Richard, Brian, Rachelle's family and of course Mr. Grouch, Poppy.
The girls....just hanging out.
Oh how cute is this little feller
and what is he doing up there all by himself?  Trying to be a big boy???
Roaming the wild.
Almost a unicorn!
Here's cutie putie, Rylee who surprised us all by really enjoying feeding the animals.  She was having fun!
Was this Omar who would steel our feed bucket?
Take my picture from this angle, it's my better side.  (did you know that male zebra's smelt liked skunks?  We didn't either, but we were close enough to get a nice whiff).
Picture perfect.
Albino deer? Not certain??
What an appropriate coat for our safari outing.
See Richard, what you missed out on....check out Donivan.

Halloween 2008

Here is a hodge podge of pictures from our very fun Halloween! It started off with my annual Hula Hoop and costume contest at work at 12 noon, then both Jase and Cassandra had a fall festival at their daycare at 3, then once we left there, we hit a few houses and made a few visits, then ended up at one of Cassandra's old friend's Halloween party and went trick or treating up and down their street.

Here is a picture of the kids with Grandpa Ron. He was so excited to see us and gave us top pick of his candy and gave both the kids a box of animal cookies (which I thought was a very good idea). As Grandpa Ron said, "what little squirt's don't like animal cookies" and he was right, the kids love them.

This is Colten and his Mom, Tribbie. They went all out and made a fantastic Halloween party and said she hopes to make this an annual thing. We hope she does, because we want to come back year after year. She had everything decorated so cute, had lots of treats for the kids and activities for them to do. We had a lot of fun. Thanks Tribbie and Colten for inviting us!
This is Kenzie, she is no dummie....she used both of her hands and scooped up the candy out of this trick or treat trunk. There was a note on it that said help yourself, so she scooped her up a huge handful. It was so funny.

Okay....this is the gang at work. Sherry was Methusela, Julia was Cleopatra, Jenny was the Goul Homecoming queen and Melissa was an A&M Aggie fan.

The gang again with Erica being Dorothy, Chara Ragland being a science nerd and two undergraduate students being a peptide.

This is Jase and I at his fall festival daycare. We saw Elise Blaha and Jonathan and Jonathan gave Jase and I a lot of hugs and kisses. He was so sweet!

Awe......Poppy gave green backs for Halloween treats. SWEET!!! We did stop by and see Betty B too, but I don't have a picture.

Of course we had to stop by and see Sebastian and Holley and their Grandparents.

Here is Katie and Rylee. They made a homemade costume for Rylee. They got the idea off of Martha Stewart, and she was a chicken. Awe....isn't she adorable.

Here is Jase giving Rylee a hug. She had just woke up from a nap.

This is Jase trick or treating.

And this is the gang of trick or treaters. Maddie was a pirate, Colten a spiderman, Talia a princess, Kenzi was Dorothy, and her Mom, Trish was Cleopatra.

Here is Piglet.

And Tigger.

And the whole Winne the Pooh Gang (maybe next year we will be Roe, Christopher Robin, Eyeore, and Rabbit). Haha.....probably not.

Parent's night at Dance Class

It was parent's night at Cassandra's dance class. She wasn't the best dancer but she wasn't the worse either. I had to show you this video clip of her waving Hi to her baby brother. Awe...wasn't she sweet.
