To make a long story short

Let me see if I can make this a short story.....you see Uncle Teddy Bob wanted a new head stone at the cemetary for his Mom and Dad (Edgar's) to be the same as his sister's (Cotton's) and our baby boy's head stone (Chase). So, he spared no expense and bought a taj maja head stone. It doesn't quite match in the color or size, but you get the idea. It's big.

No, those are not angel wings on our little girl.......she's far from being an angel. Haha, just kidding, she's pretty close though, LOL!!!!

A photo without my models obstructing the view.

They can't wait to meet their Granny one day.

True Artist

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I only had enough time to take one picture because Jase decided that he was going to finger paint......so, the photo shoot had to come to a screaching halt. Anyway.....enjoy the ONE picture!

Girls Night Out

Last night, Cassandra and I went with Aliria (my first babysitter) and her daughter, Holley, to the High School Musical on Ice at Reed Arena. Cassandra really wasn't feeling too good. She had chills and then ended up with fever. So, she was a little clingy. But she was excited to get her own ticket so that she could enter the building.

She loves her Sister! And her sister loves her!

This is the whole "ladies night out gang". Aliria's two sisters went with us and their daughters.

Aren't our shirt's cool. Aliria made them, I think her sister helped, too!

I would say, she' my girl, but she always corrects me and says, "Momma and Dada's girl".

You might can tell a little bit that she isn't feeling too good, but she still had fun! You gotta love the $10 hat, huh?

Awe, isn't that sweet, holding hands with her sister!

On the count down

Yea, we survived the scuba diving training. We are certified, now all we have to do is count down the days until we leave for Cancun. (and pack of course) Dada just left for work and we have been left behind to anxiously await his return. I blew out my back this past weekend during my scuba diving training but I went to the doctor yesterday and now that I'm on good meds, I think I'm going to be okay. Hence the big smile on my face. LOL

We are trying to potty train Cassandra for night time "no accidents" but needless to say, I've been washing sheets every night. Does anyone have any suggestions? Ugh....and this too shall pass, RIGHT?

Yep, she is happy, because she has donut holes in her bag!

Now Mr. Jase, whew, he's definitely a boy, through and through. But he is amazing. At night I'll read a book to him and turn off the light and pray with him and then I 'll tell him it's night, night time and he walks to his bed and crawls up in the bed and lays his little head down. I am totally shocked how easy it is to put him to bed. Now, Cassandra is a different story, I have to read her a book, rock her, sing to her, pray with her, cuddle with her and then she still doesn't want me to leave her room. Anyway...at least my boy is easy to get to go to sleep, it would be horrible if I had trouble putting both of them to sleep at the same time. GOD has been so good to me. I'm so blessed!!!!

Well, until next time......3 weeks and 1 day to go before we blast off to Cancun. Whoop! I'm getting excited!

Oh me, the time really flies when Cory is home.  We have been so busy but it has been so much fun.  I had a wonderful Mother's Day.  The day before, I went to Grandma's house and cleaned her house.  That always makes me feel like I'm trying to help her a little bit.  Anyway, and then on the way home we stopped and went shopping for some clothes for Cancun.  I ended up buying two pairs of size 4 pants.  I was so proud of myself that I could fit into them.  I'm still holding at loosing 24 pounds and would love to loose 2 more pounds before our trip.  We'll have to wait and see.  Back to my story, after shopping we went to the Wolfe Pen Park and listened to an Eddie Money concert.  Teresa and Dave Peters joined us and later on Robin and Geraldo showed up.  It was fun, but after a while that beat was getting to me. I guess you can say, I'm getting old.   Then, the next day we went to church and that afternoon we had the Rodriguez's over for fajita's.  Of course we always prepare too much food, but we enjoyed it and the kids enjoyed trying to swim in the pool but were freezing cold.  Here are a few pictures:

Then, the weekend before this one, we went to Lake Travis and took the jet ski out for the first time. Again, we had fun but again it was too cold. I was freezing! Teresa, Katie, Brian and Rylee joined us for the weekend and we really enjoyed hanging out with them. Teresa and I tried out different healthy recipes and enjoyed eating all weekend. I think we both gained 2 pounds that weekend. Here are some pictures:

Now, weekend #3 that Cory is home will be an adventure. We are getting our scuba diving certificates. So, if I live long enough to tell you about it, I'll try to blog again next week with all the tall tales. Until next time......
