The kids and I attended Andrew Bigley's wedding reception at the Veranda and my friend helped me take these wonderful pictures.  I just had to put them on my blog.  I wished Cory was with us but he would have gotten tired of taking so many pictures.  He would have said, "that's enough"  but what he doesn't understand is that it takes a lot of pictures to be able to get THAT ONE GOOD PICTURE.

Cassandra is getting sweeter and sweeter by the day. She is so funny. Every Sunday night, I start packing my bags and getting everything ready for me to take the next day to work, to Cassandra's daycare, Jase's babysitter and whatever else I need to load up into the car. We'll this morning I found an extra bag. Cassandra had packed her own bag of things she wanted to take with her. She had packed a blanket, a book, some toys, some hair accessories and a baby doll. I just thought that was too cute. She is turning into an ole bag lady.......just like her mom.

Now, Mr. Jase, well, what can I say about him except he is a tornado that destroys his surroundings in every room that he goes into. He is a mess. He goes from room to room exploring. He'll drag something out of one room and drag it into another room and things are strung everywhere. And then, the little sweetie pie will not sleep in. He wakes up every morning between 5 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. I talked to his baby sitter today and found out that he is taking two naps a day at her house. So, I asked her to please change his schedule around so that he only takes one nap a day. Getting up on the weekend at 5 a.m. is no fun. But other that , I couldn't ask for a better son. He is an angel in disguise. And, he gives the best hugs and WET kisses. He is definitely a sweet boy, just like his sister. And you never can get mad at him, because he just too CUTE!!!!  And, I have mention to you before how he pouts.  It's the most hilarious thing.  If you get onto to him for something that he did, he slowly anchors himself to the floor and lays his head down and start's crying.  It's the cutest thing.  Sometimes, I just want to find something else to scold him about so that I can see him do it again.   It's funny and very CUTE!!!!

Poor Little Bit

Tuesday I came home an hour early and found Little Bit acting very strange. I had left him outside all day and he was full of cockle burs so I thought maybe that was the problem until I reached down to pet his head and discovered his eye had popped out. Yep, that is right, his eye was just bulging out. It freaked me out and some how I was able to load the kids back up in the van and then we rushed to the Vet Hospital off of Boonville Road. That night the vet called me and informed me that he was going to have to have his eye removed. So, needless to say, we have a one eyed dog now. They wanted to keep him over the weekend to keep an eye on him, so the kids and I went to go visit him this morning. He still wasn't acting like his old self. He was still on pain medication and will be for about another week after we get him home. It broke my heart to see him this morning but I know that he will be okay. Cassandra and Jase were happy to see him and were hugging and petting him. I'm looking forward to bringing him home on Monday night and taking him to the groomer so that he can get a summer hair cut. He looks a little rough in this picture.

I'm waiting for sister to dive off the diving board. But in the mean time......I'm checking out the babes at the pool. There are some real hot momma's here!!!!

Sunday Morning at the Cotton Home

Here we are, already and dressed to go to church. We had a great night. Jase slept until 7:00 a.m. this morning. That was so nice to be able to sleep in on the weekend.

Cassandra's 4th week of swimming lessons

This is a video of Cassandra jumping into the deep end of the pool during her 4th week of swimming lessons. She is really doing great.

And this is of her floating (with a little assistance).

And this is a cute picture of her styling in her PINK goggles (that are all fogged up).  She loves wearing the goggles and now doesn't like to go swimming without them....oh me...what did I start?

Paint Bluebonnets on your Easil

Well, you kinda get the idea of what we were trying to do with these pictures. Of course, the kids loved the idea of getting to paint, but Robin and I didn't enjoy the clean up. It was work. I think I will send in a picture to KBTX Channel 3 to see if we can win a prize. Poppy said, they are awarding $50 a week to the best bluebonnet picture of the week. So, I guess I'll try but I'm not sure if I'll use these pictures because the bluebonnets were just about gone already. These pictures were taken at Washington on the Brazos and I think we had more bluebonnets in Bryan/College Station.

Letterboxing 101

What a super fun, tiring day we had today. We went with the Rodriguez family (my neighbors, Robin (otherwise known as MeMa), Elias, Isaac and girlfriend Erin, and Holley and Sebastian to Washington on the Brazos today and started our Letterboxing journals.  This is a totally awesome thing to do and if you would like more information check out their website http://www.letterboxing.org/ or give me a call and I'll fill you in on all the details. The nature trail at the park was great but letterboxing made the trip a whole lot more interesting, exciting and thrilling. I hope I'll be able to do a lot more of these adventures with the kids as they grow up and as we travel. (Dream, dream big right?) At least I have good intentions. Here are a few pictures of the journal.  I'm calling our family name "Cotton Trails" and then I journal in their journal C T with a smiley face and I write Cotton Trail Family wuz here 04-12-08.

Weekend Homework

It's starting already at the age of three....HOMEWORK! Cassandra has homework this weekend. She has to practice using scissors to cut straight lines and circles. But hey...this could be a good thing.....she could be my scrapbooking assistant. But then again......this could be a nightmare if she goes to whiddling on my pictures......EEKS.

Our Monkey Face

Here are some cute pictures of my "Monkey Face". I kinda gave him that nickname because he loves BANANAS and he loves to watch Curious George in the morning. He is really a sweet boy but is learning to pitch a fit and stomp his feet and squeal when he doesn't get his way.

3rd week of Swimming Lessons

We are on our 3rd week of swimming lessons.  She has been improving and according to this short movie clip, is kicking a whole lot better.  Jase is sharing his slice of pizza with his sister.  They really love each other a lot.  Also, Cassandra starting saying a new phrase yesterday, "No Accidents Mom".  She is doing 90% better on her potty training, but occasionally will have a few slip ups.  I hope you enjoy the blog.  I'm still playing around with it and learning a few tricks.  I might have to give up scrap booking :-)
